Ken Irwin is a co-founder of Rounder Records. As part of the Rounder A&R team, he was responsible for the signings of Alison Krauss, the SteelDrivers, the Gibson Brothers, the Lonely Heartstring Band. Sierra Hull, Hazel Dickens, James King, Del McCoury. Della Mae and many others. In addition to his years of A&R work, ken was an IBMA founding member and two time board member, alumnus of the first Leadership Bluegrass class, judge at many bluegrass contests, a panelist at various music conferences and an active mentor to newer music and business people in the field.
